What is City Branded Email?

  • City Branded Email is a product offered by My Identity Email, LLC in partnership with NewYork.com. It involves a branded email address for your specific city, such as Attorney@NewYork.com. This is a digital branded identity that allow individuals and businesses alike to redefine, simplify and consolidate their email identities.

What can I search for?

  • You can search for either a descriptive name for your Business (Attorney, Doctor, Wealth, Insurance, CPA, Writer, etc.) or your personal name (first, first and last, etc.) to determine if it is available for acquisition. We will identify the appropriate pricing and plan based on the matches found.

Are there any restrictions in the name of my branded email?

  • Currently we allow English characters (A-Z), numerals (0-9) and periods (.) but not any other special characters in email addresses.

    Business plans, both Standard and Premium, will prevent future acquisitions of variants of your name that use special characters. For example, if you acquire "WealthManager", we will prevent acquisitions of "Wealth.Manager", "WealthManager123", "Wealth1000Manager"...etc. This prevents brand confusion for your business.

How do I use my branded email?

  • City Branded Email is powered by Google and G-Suite. Once your identity is reserved and payment is made, you can begin using your new email identity and address immediately. Installation on smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktop computers is quick and easy following the G Suite installation instructions appropriate for your device. If you need assistance, we are happy to help. Simply send an email to support@myidentityemail.com.

What is the difference between POP3 and IMAP integration?

  • POP is a protocol that allows users to download emails onto their devices and access email offline. POP provides one-way communication, so the actions you perform in Outlook (e.g. reading a message) will not update in your web client. IMAP is a protocol that allows users to check their email on multiple devices, providing two-way communication so the actions performed on one device will appear on all devices. Essentially you will be able to synchronize your emails across all devices.

Can I use my new email address with my iPhone, iPad, or other mobile devices?

  • Yes. You can use your current email client to connect to your G-Mail powered account. Alternatively, Google provides mobile and web apps to access your G-Mail account. Access is provided as part of your monthly fee.
